Who needs TDG by Ground training?
Under Transport Canada regulations, any individual who handles, offers for transport, or transports dangerous goods by road in Canada must be adequately trained and hold a valid TDG certificate. This includes warehouse workers, shippers, receivers, freight forwarders, dispatchers, and truck drivers.
How long is the TDG Ground certificate valid?
A TDG certificate for ground transport is legally valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of issue. Refresher training and recertification must be completed before the 3-year expiration mark, or immediately if regulations change or new, unfamiliar dangerous goods are introduced to the workplace.
The course includes a final quiz to verify your understanding of TDG regulations. If a worker does not achieve the passing grade, they can review the material and retake the test at no additional cost to ensure full comprehension and compliance.
